Jagdgeschwader 53 was a unit of the German Air Force in World War II. It was formed on May 1, 1939, by renaming Jagdgeschwader 133. The unit's standard aircraft was the Messerschmitt Bf 109, versions from E (Emil) to K (Kurfürst). The most famous members of this unit were Werner Mölders and Franz von Werra.
This unique item is elaborately and lovingly handcrafted in Germany in the "vintage look" and replicated according to the original aircraft part's curvature.
The sheet metal is made of aircraft aluminum. The squadron emblem corresponds to the original emblem used at the time in color, shape, and size.
This emblem is not mass-produced, but is applied by hand, just as it was back then at the operational airfields.
A pre-installed bracket ensures quick and easy wall mounting.
