Luftwaffe Emblem Tatzelwurm 2 Squadron
The so-called "Tatzelwurm" was an emblem of the German Luftwaffe that appeared in various groups of the 1st and 3rd Fighter Wings with different colors.
The yellow Tatzelwurm was for the 3rd squadron, the green one was reserved for the so-called "Stab" (staff). The emblem was also retained after the regrouping in spring 1942 into JG 1.
Various types of Messerschmitt Bf 109 as well as the Focke Wulf were flown with this insignia. The sheet metal was made from aircraft aluminum. The squadron insignia corresponds to the original insignia used at the time in color, shape, and size.
This insignia is not mass-produced, but is applied by hand, just as it was at the operational airfields back then.
A pre-installed bracket ensures quick and easy wall mounting.
