Luftwaffe Emblem Oesau
JG 1 "Oesau" was a fighter wing of the German Luftwaffe in World War II, named after its sixth commodore, Walter Oesau, a famous German fighter pilot.
The aircraft flown by this unit were the Focke Wulf 190, Heinkel He 162, and Messerschmitt Bf 109.
The formation of Jagdgeschwader 1 began on May 1, 1939, with the renaming of Jagdgeschwader 1 to Oesau. On January 1, 1945, three groups of the squadron participated in Operation "Bodenplatte", the attack by German fighter units on Allied airfields.
This unique piece is elaborately and lovingly handcrafted in Germany in the so-called "vintage look" and is replicated in its curved shape, corresponding to the original aircraft part.
The metal sheet was made from aircraft aluminum. The squadron emblem corresponds to the original emblem used at the time, in terms of color, shape, and size.
This emblem is not mass-produced, but is applied by hand, just as it was back then at the operational airfields.
A pre-installed bracket ensures quick and easy wall mounting.
