To achieve an authentic cockpit appearance, original instruments from the Fighter Command of the Royal Air Force (RAF) were primarily used as templates and references. The resulting detailed and true-to-scale appearance of the instruments, switches, and arrangement provides a very detailed impression of a British fighter pilot's "workplace" during World War II. Since the bulky mechanisms on the back have been omitted, and each instrument panel also includes a steel cable hanger, a clunky and heavy mounting is not necessary.
